Driving Directions

Tradewater Canoe Livery and Campground is located directly on the banks of the Tradewater River in Dawson Springs, KY, just off US 62 west, just one mile from downtown.  If you are arriving in Dawson Springs via the Wendell Ford Parkway (Western Kentucky Parkway) exit the parkway at Exit 24, turn south on KY 109 and follow KY 109 to the intersection of US 62.  Turn right (west) on US 62, proceed straight through downtown Dawson Springs on US 62 a distance of two miles to the US 62/Tradewater River Bridge.  Just past the bridge, turn left on KY 672, go ¼ mile to the clearly marked entrance to Tradewater Canoe Livery.

Tradewater River

From its humble beginnings in north/central Christian County, KY, the Tradewater River meanders through over 110 miles of interesting bottom lands, bluffs, timber and rock outcrops before spilling into the Ohio River near Salem, KY. Throughout its entire length, the river provide breathless scenery and outdoor delight for the casual or dedicated canoe/kayak enthusiast.
