Welcome to DawsonSpringsKy.com, the website that profiles Dawson Springs, Hopkins County, and the Penneyrile region of Kentucky

As the Mayor of Dawson Springs I welcome you to the official website for the City of Dawson Springs “A Very Special Place”.  The website has been created to give you a glimpse of our community located in Western Kentucky off the Wendell Ford Parkway (Western Kentucky Parkway) and to provide information on local services, current events and community activities.

We take pride in both history and the future of our community.  Dawson Springs is home to a wonderful Independent School System for grades K-12.  Numerous recreational opportunities are available from a summer collegiate baseball  game played on our historical site “Riverside Park” where the Pittsburgh Pirates played in the early 1900’s, an 18 hole golf course located at beautiful Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park, to our city park where 4 ball fields, walking trail, swimming pool and tennis and basketball courts are located.

Stories of the past are abundant and someone is always ready to share one with you.  Our Historic Downtown has many buildings listed on the National Register.  We offer full-scale services in police, fire, water and sewer, recreation and much more.

With a population of approximately 3,000 residents, it is a friendly town, and makes everyone feel welcome.

As you visit our site, I hope it helps you to know what a wonderful community that Dawson Springs is and welcome you to be a part of our city, be it as a visitor, future employee/employer or a resident.

Sincerely,

Ross Workman, Mayor
